Revision - How to get a perfect 6 mark answer!

Question

Outline implications of the psychodynamic model for the treatment of abnormal behaviour. (6 marks)
AO1

Marking criteria [How to get a perfect answer for the above question]

The specification refers to ‘implications for treatment’ rather than treatments per se. Therefore answers restricted to descriptions of methods/techniques can receive a maximum of 4 marks if description is accurate and detailed. To reach the higher bands there must be some explicit linkage between the model and treatments based upon it e.g. the need to bring repressed material from the unconscious to conscious awareness.

Answers may be general and concentrate on the need to resolve repressed conflicts etc, or more specific and describe hypnosis, dream analysis, regression, word association etc. Either approach is valid.
There is no plurality requirement for this question.
